Hopefully they have a good showing and get a few more guys to sign up. A couple years ago was a solid team that really didnt play well.
From what I recall, a couple of guys weren't able to make the first game and would have joined for the second, and the team they went against were locked in from three.

Found some coverage from COBL
Quote:5:55 PM: The Blue and Gold Club are off to a rough start, as they trail 49-32 to Basketball City at halftime. Basketball City have been lights out from the perimeter, sinking 8 of their 16 three point tries. Shavar Richardson leads all scorers with 14 points, making four of his five 3-point attempts. The Blue and Gold Club have struggled mightily getting shots to fall, as they are shooting just 30.7 percent from the field and 21.4 percent from three.

7:00 PM: The Basketball Tournament ended early for the Drexel alumni that made up the Blue & Gold Club, as they fell to Basketball City, 95-75. Richardson, a Florida Atlantic alum, finished with 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including 5-of-6 from beyond the arc. Manhattan alum George Beamon added 16 for the victors.

The Blue & Gold Club was paced by Dartaye Ruffin, who had 19 points; another Drexel alum, Scott Rodgers, had 16, while Philly U alum Christian Burns had 15. The Dragons couldn't make shots, hitting just 36.5 percent of their field-goal attempts and just 19 percent of their 3-pointers (5-of-26) in defeat.
It is true we were missing a couple guys but we just did not play well at all. I remember tuning in and getting frustrated quickly.
What a great idea. I hope we can add some more alums to the team and make a run
