none of us think that.. we think we COULD be with the right coach, but what we expect is, with the resources we have, is not to be garbage. Bad decision after bad decision has killed this program.

That's not Cal's fault. This fan base needs to start being more realistic, on a number of levels.
Pastner cultivated a bunch a pansies in this fan base.

Whether anyone wants to admit or not, Tubby inherited a **** show. Local kids don't want to play here anymore. We've signed some good classes, but everyone transferred. We've done nothing in the NCAA since Cal left.
Pastner had to hire Keelon to get his kids. Memphis isn't relevant now.
I like the purge. These guys quit on us last year. Keelon was going to extort the university every year (or at least until he ran out of kids to pimp).
I think today we turned the corner. Almost a complete rebuild. I think we needed it. Let's sign some servicable players and hopefully a couple will be really good. Hit 2018 hard and land a few of the local stars. It's a great day to be s Tiger!

No one (really) thinks we Kentucky. It's not true now. It wasn't true when Calipari was here. We were considered one of the best jobs in basketball as little as 5 years ago. The thing is, Kentucky struggled under Gillespie. Alabama struggled before Saban. You can't just plug anybody into even the Blue Blood programs and succeed. And you have to make the right hire to succeed at second tier programs like ours. And we've failed to do that the past two times. We should have hired Drew in 2009. And we should have hired someone like Forbes if we were unwilling to do what it took to hire hire Buzz Williams last year.
Hiring Tubby Smith and paying him 3mm a year has to be the worst die idiom an AD has made in the past decade.
