Thought I'd get this thread started early for those who can't wait. They say a team takes on the identity/character of their coach. Frank Serratore is a classic and fans will get a kick out of this guy as he is probably is one of the most quotedable coaches in a pre/post game interview with some classic quips

There may be some of you unaware, and for those I offer this bit of trivia:

- AF coach Frank Serratore played goal for our WMU Broncos from 1977 to 1979.

Good stuff. I remember watching Serratore between the pipes for the Broncos. I think he was pretty good.
It would be nice if our local media picked up on that but they can't seem to comprehend anything more than five years ago.

Our ranking is based on the regular season. The regular season is over and our 2-3 post season record does not inspire much awe. Unless they find a playoff gear, it doesn't matter who is on the ice, we will get mugged. I hope they step it up considerably on Friday.

I hear that, but two of those losses came against the #1 and #2 teams in the country. I think this team will be ready, and hungry coming off of those losses.

Vegas has WMU at 1 in 10 to win the championship this year, NCHC at 45%.

I know, I would love for them to win it all, but I was just saying, they need to get over the biggest hump and win tomorrow night first.

East Regional: Harvard over Providence. The Crimson ride a 14-game win streak into this regional. Providence has struggled in its last eight games. Harvard wins.

Western Michigan over Air Force. Neither of these teams should be underestimated. The Broncos have a good offense. The Falcons have a great defense and come into the tournament hotter. I’m still picking Western. Call me a throwback CCHA homer.

Western Michigan over Harvard. I admit this pick makes little sense. On paper, Harvard is the better team. I think it’s easy for teams to look past the Broncos, though. Plus, CCHA homer.
