I don't 'listen' to Rainman, I heard him maybe 4 times when I was driving and that's all I needed. Memphis Sports Talk Radio is really, really the dregs. But you gotta have something to listen to at work.

I think you guys triggered John. Had them on on the way back from lunch and they spent most of the Clay Travis segment talking about being hated on the internet.

I heard that. Called out Tiger17 by name. Said he wanted to meet him and prove he's not. Tongue was totally in cheek though.

Rainey is sports talk, about like the Shake Weight is drama tv. He buys his time. At least these other guys are getting paid to do it.

Heard that today. John Martin pretty much determined that anyone who criticizes him and/or his show is a loser, makes less money than he does and/or is jealous. He also talked about how nobody says they don't like his show to his face, therefore, he does a great job. He figured out a way to disregard any and all criticism. Maybe that's what gets you ahead these days.

Martin tries to be controversial and pick "fights" with Jason and tries to impart his amazing wisdom on everything. He is horrible at it and not very wise. He was pretty good as Geoff's snot-nose, stupid, millennial, side kick, but the "Jason and John" show should be turned into the "Jason" show, John needs to find something he's good at.

Is Rainey still on?

GP had UNC Roy Williams on an interview today and I have to say that is was a good segment. I usually can only take so much of GP before switching, but this interview was good. Williams is an engaging guy.

I like John Martin, but he's absolutely killing my wrestling trivia team right now. I agree with most of the comments in this thread, especially the original post.

I yearn for a Memphis radio show providing information and insight on the Tigers sans the host's aggravating and patronizing comments, but have not found it yet.

He needs to learn a lesson from Tim Marchman that running his mouth and issuing open challenges isn't always the best idea.
