Justice Alito: The left .... “vilify those who disagree, and treat them as bigots.”

http://conservativetribune.com/justice-b...ce-warning

“We are seeing this is coming to pass,” Alito said, quoting iconic rock star Bob Dylan’s famous song lyric, “You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.”

Alito: “A wind is picking up that is hostile to those with traditional moral beliefs,” he said.

“We are likely to see pitched battles in courts and Congress, state legislatures and town halls,” Alito said. “But the most important fight is for the hearts and minds of our fellow Americans. It is up to all of us to evangelize our fellow Americans about the issue of religious freedom.”
Well this is sure to piss off the progs.
Everyone has the freedom to not practice a religion. Note to those who don't: That same freedom means those who want to can.
Atheists are like that person you meet for the first time at a business lunch and by the time you are done shaking hands at the table they are telling you they are strict vegans and that meat is murder.
Keep your leftist hands off!

I think he's both right and wrong.

Socially I think there is a huge danger.

However, he knows as well as anybody that there has been a shift in the courts away from the last 40 years of insanity.

Ehh. You need to find some "IDGAF" atheists. All the hedonistic enjoyment of existence, none of the BS pseudo-intellectual high ground. Most of the aggressive atheists are about as philosophically complex as the movie Fight Club.

Thing is the kind of atheist you are talking about is hard to find.

I know that the evangelical Christians are bad, but as someone who typically keeps their religion to themself until asked I get confronted a lot more by atheists then evangelicals. This is especially remarkable considering I live in the buckle of the Bible Belt.
Most of the atheists I've met in life are actively anti-religion...meaning other people's' religion.
I've had delightful and productive conversations with other Christians from denominations, Muslims, Jews, and Baha'i. Only ever have found harassment for my beliefs from atheists, who mainly go to if God exists how could he let all those horrible things that happen, easy enough to explain.

Those types of atheists are hypocrites. They can't prove there is no God, so they are making their own leap of faith.

LOL. The GOP is trying to establish state benefits for being evangelical.

But its not like we didn't already know that Alito is in the tank for establishment anyway.

Yes, I am religious, but I do then to stay away from fake Religious people who preach hate. There are fakes on both sides of the issues. Like kill the gays and all that. Murder is murder no matter who you are. The fake preachers who preaches bigoted ways by judging people who they are will be judge by god for that person judging others.
Being left alone to exercise your right is a benefit?

So you have massive misunderstandings of the Bible too. Not surprised.

Having the state fund groups that don't hire or serve non-evangelicals or persons living outside the dictates of their faith, especially if there's no mandate for employment or service for those denied inclusion in that funding is most definitely a special benefit, and one that the GOP/religious right is actively campaigning for.
