I don't get the disrespect for them with that eight seed. Way more consistent in the conference than Minnesota and Michigan, and hardly the same as MSU or Northwestern.
That's what has me down with this year. Very artificial feel to it. Lacks logic with seeding.

For Gonzaga's next game, C2, you'll want to stick pins in your Gonzaga voodoo doll the whole game, and not just before the game.
Worst officating if seen in years. Northwestern flat out got Hosed in the late second half. Missed the out of bounds call that clearly was out on the Zags then the goaltending missed call where not only did the guy have his hand inside the rim but fouled the shooter as well then gavethe T-Call on NW coach. Several obvious fouls not called on the Zags abounded. This crew should not ref another tournament game.
Watching the post-game interview, Chris Collins looks and sounds exactly like a younger version of his dad.
Second major upset of the day is about 4:00 of game clock away... X leads FSU by 20.

It's a big upset technically but Xavier is much better and battled tested in March than Florida State.

They were fortunate. Teams that advance often are. Their big problem is that Northwestern was an overachieving team that played way over its heads, the kind of team a #1 seed should not let back into the game. If the Zags do that against WVU, they won't be as fortunate.
Northwestern's heart was evident. Discipline under pressure, not so much?
Hard to feel for NW...that either them or Vandy got shoved on us a second time...won't let it go. Both are gone, and Gonzaga makes it through the weekend.

Discipline under pressure? They partially had the game taken from them but in reality they just ran out of time. With an extra couple of minutes, perhaps they come all the way back. Too bad they built themselves such a large hole early on.
How in the world, in 2017, can UVA go into a season without a single 3 point shooter on the team? I have been to a number of VCU games, and it's amazing that Duquesne and St Bonnie's are putting more shooters on the floor this year than UVA.

Well, the ACC gets its Big Three in action today, and UNC and Duke at least are locks to advance.
