We seem to be borderline delusional. Or maybe this is the twilight zone of Memphis BB
Love JM. He took great strides this year. Definite room for improvement, of course, but I think he'll be even better next season.

Is it any wonder that my mind's on fire?

If DL leaves just burn it to the ground and start over with 7-8 freshmen. Have to eat **** for 2 more years but then maybe start to see the light.

Tubby isn't a quick fixer. He can't go get 3-4 4-5* kids that can come in ready to roll. This is who they hired and IF he can fix things it's going to take awhile particularly since he basically just wasted an entire season.

^^. Plays with passion. Nice 'glue' guy.
Choosy beggars.
Y'all just need to lower your expectations to zero and you'll be fine.

Kinda like how it used to be for football........
He could be more like a left handed Burks than he can EP. Work on his mid range pull up.
Elliot Perry was a McDonald's All American coming out of high school and a flat out baller.
I'm not saying that less heralded players can't improve, but let's not kid ourselves. A young EP would have eaten Martin alive.

Kemp was a Cal casualty.

And it doesn't take much to set you back...remembering Pookie.

Or Kemp...

With one hand tied behind his back.

No he wasn't

Every good PG we have ever had has came in confident from Day 1. That's what it takes to make a great PG. He has to have '**** of the walk" attitude.

I don't know whether Jeremiah could stop Perry, but I doubt Jeremiah could get the ball across halfcourt against him. EP had the quickest hands I ever saw. Dude was averaging 7 steals per game fairly late in the season one year.
You can play well without a good point guard. We went to the Elite Eight with Kemp, but we also had a backup who was a spark off the bench, and we had a whole lot of talent on the floor in the other four positions, including a one and done 1st rounder. We have none of that on this team -- yet, anyway -- so we better find us a point guard quick!

I like him as a kid, but he is not the pg we need to take us to the tournament. He can not break his defender down when we play quality teams.

Love Jeremiah but I agree

He can go out and find a true point guard @ the Juco level for starters.

Let's not forget "Socks" played in the NBA too!
