Good luck to WKU on getting a respectable seed. I see MTSU has a women's NIT bid already, and I'm assuming a couple other schools (USM and Charlotte) might be in the running for a women's NIT bid too?

Any thoughts from La Tech and ODU fans on a chance for postseason play? I have heard that the Rice women also submitted a bid to host a postseason game, which I'm assuming is the WBI tournament.
One of my USM sources says that we look to host in the NIT. He is usually right, so I will go with that. However....
Try to avoid the UConn regional

At 17-14 with a 136 RPI and Charlotte (120) as a best win, I'd be somewhat surprised if ODU got a bid. Though I suppose with an average attendance of 2,321 this season, perhaps that gives them a puncher's chance if the committee wants first-round games with four-digit attendance. But I don't know if that ever factors in.

No clue if they'd consider the WBI, though it'd be nice if Jennie Simms got another chance to put on the uniform.
WKU sitting at a 12 seed seems right. Decent RPI of 35. 4-4 against the top 100, with 1 sub 150 loss. Better than Belmont, Gonzaga, Qunnipiac, Penn, Chat, and Boise. Charlie Creme has my Rockets at a 13 seed and we are 8-7 vs. the top 100 and 0 sub 150 losses. WBB is all politics.
We're hosting a WBI game Thursday night.
WKU gets the 12 Seed against #5 Ohio State in Lexington....wooohoooo!!!

Real time's bracket predictor says 79-78 osu. giving wku a 47.5% chance. Looking at who they have played i fully expect western to win this thing.

It's winnable. Getting a chance to play UK in the 2nd round in Lexington would be a blast. Of course, we gotta win the first game and UK has to beat Belmont.
Southern Miss, MTSU, and La. Tech in the WNIT
I'll be rooting for you WKU. Beat Ohio State.

Also happy for our teams in WNIT. Post season for the Techsters is a great rebuilding moment. We finally have a good coach. Happy for USM and MTSU too. Hope one of our teams can win it.
Rice women are hosting Lamar in the WBI Tournament on Thursday.
