Looks like Georgia Southern will play in the CBI against Utah Valley. Is there any air time for this tournament? Do anybody remember last year's winners?
The basketball version of 'too many bowls'.
CBI is the first post-season Basketball GS has played in 10 years so I think it's good to get us back out there. I personally thought the 2014/15 team was snubbed so I'm glad we're going to a post season tournament even if it's pretty much meaningless.

On a side note I really hate the best two of three championship format for the CBI.
CBI = Cry Babies Invitational. A tourney for those who think their crappy season should continue and are desperate enough to buy their way into one.
CCU is hosting Hampton on Wednesday as well

I don't even remember last year's NCAA winners.

I know it was Villanova but I cant remember who they played for it without looking it up.

Who cares it is more basketball for basketball fans and players and you get to play a team you probably never will again. I would rather be good enough to be invited to a second tier tournament than not.
The games will be live on Facebook live yes I said Facebook live

All of these opinions are correct.
Not the preferred tournament to keep up with by any means but I'm glad the Chants are getting to play some more basketball and I'll pull for Georgia Southern to win as well...

That is actually cool IMO. We had our signing day event on Facebook live it was awesome. No different than watching on ESPN3. Digital is digital and HD is HD.
I have watched soccer matches on Facebook Live. For me it was a higher quality stream than ESPN3. I strongly support Facebook Live events.
I saw where Campus Insiders streamed some games on Twitter. I haven't watched Facebook live streams but this is the future. People are talking about the games already on social media so it makes sense to bring the games there.

My other team, GWU, will be playing. We have 10 new players this year, we are playing pretty well at years' end, and we're not injured. I see no problem with playing in it. If you're losing your coach, you've got a ton of injuries, or limping into year end with a bunch of losses, then maybe not. GW will get more practice and tournament experience. They will join another upper finishing Atlantic 10 team in the field.

Besides, last year's NIT was really fun for GW.

There are 350+ D1 programs. The NCAA, NIT, and CBI take less than a third of teams.
Kind of like saying one SBC team gets the Access Bowl (I know, I'm delusional at times) so the other eligible teams should not play lower tier Bowls because what's the point?
Get to the championship rounds and it can get exciting.
