UMKC last night who ranks 306th in country in fouls per defensive play committed a foul 31.3% of all defensive possessions. That would rank higher than Number 1 in country. 1 in 3 trips NMSU had the ball was a foul.
Not unusual when a team is overmatched and trying to get hustle steals or blocked shots that often they commit a foul through the effort. UMKC is to be commended for their effort. Unfortunately for them, they were not able to pull it off.

Sign of a good team knowing how to create scoring. But the logical explanation is Hurd paid the officials because NMSU is such a powerhouse in NCAA basketball. Good luck in the Missouri Valley Conference when they add you in the year 2034 when all the good teams have left that conference. However, if rolly polly Martez Harrison had not been kicked off team for domestic violence UMKC would have won the Wac tourney because the guy was the best flopper I have ever seen in a long time.
