CAA men's lax islooking like one of the top conferences, with 3 ranked wins this week. Mass beat #20/15 Yale 11-9 yesterday, Towson just dismantled #7/6 Johns Hopkins 13-8, and Hofstra just knocked off defending national champions and current #4/5 UNC 11-9 in Chapel Hill.
Seem like a great place to mention that W&M should 100% bring back lacrosse. Maybe our new AD will help.
Another big day yesterday for the conference. In the highlight of the day, Delaware knocked off # 1/3 Rutgers. #5/7 Hofstra continued the best start in program history, and beat St John's to finish off the out of conference schedule 8-0. Delaware was unranked this week, so expect them to make their way into the polls, Hofstra should be solidly in the top 5 in all polls, and Towson should still be ranked after a close one-goal loss to a top 10 Denver team.

With Hofstra and Delaware serving as the two host sites for the NCAA quarterfinals this year, it would be great if at least 1 team could still be playing at that point, on their home field.
Welp, that sucked. 1 in a million shot there, if even that much. Basically sums up Hofstra athletics in a nutshell.
Towson wins their 3rd straight CAA title and then goes on road to take down a higher ranked opponent in the NCAA 1st Round, Penn State, this past weekend.

Now down to 8 teams, Towson takes on Syracuse for a shot at the Final Four on Memorial Weekend. The larger CAA fraternity has 2 of the 8 teams remaining, Towson and UAlbany (winner of AEast lacrosse).

Also rumored, UR (playing in the lower level SoCon) has been flirting with CAA to gain entry for their Lax team.

CAA men's lacrosse has currently six members: Towson, Drexel, Hofstra, Delaware, Fairfield and UMass.
Elon would like to upgrade the mens team but that may still be a few years off. Good luck to Towson and congrats on the season so far.
