one thing is for sure, he's consistent. Most of his interviews are very similar.
One thing I disagree with. I wouldn't feel we would be "honored" by being given a 12 seed.

Yeah my guess is he was trying to be humble. After being a 13 last year and having a better campaign this year, a 12 should be considered our "floor".

Agree. I just needed to get that out.

That's what she said.
David Glenn said today on his radio show that he knew for a fact of two mid-major coaches who would take the State job if offered. Any speculations?
Nobody knows anything for a fact, including David Glenn. Coaches will never shut any door, if for no other reason than negotiation. Keatts may go, but nobody can know one way or another until it's done. I do know that UNCW is prepared to step it up even more to keep him.
Glenn said these two coaches told him they would take the job. He just couldn't say who the two coaches were.
Depending upon his definition of "mid-major", he could be talking about Archie Miller and Will Wade. Both have been mentioned for the State job.
Hawks should be an 11 seed at least but you just don't know. Let's hope for a good matchup regardless because that's all that matters. Even still, this UNCW team is going to give somebody a real problem because this is like the 2002 team in that I didn't feel that they were a 1 and done. In reality, Hawks really could have advanced further in 2003 and 2006 but were very unlucky in the end. It would be great to see this team get on a roll in the tourney because they have the makeup to make that happen for sure.

I like the potential matchups on the 6 line a whole lot better than the 5!
Joe Lunardi has UNCW being an 11 and ETSU a 12. UNCW's RPI is 27 and ETSU's is 55. There should be more separation than one spot between #s 27 & 55.

Lunardi knows nothing about anything. Why anyone pays attention to him is baffling.

He relies on others' numbers and doesn't know basketball outside of name recognition.
He used to predict a SWAC-MEAC match-up in the play-in games. That never happened. It would look bad.

Except in the Celebration Bowl in football.

I saw him refer to himself as "Joey Brackets" the other day.

I nearly choked on my own vomit....

That's infuriating just to hear secondhand.
You guys can hate on him all you want truth is his guesswork is pretty darn accurate year after year

But it's not though. He's terrible at seeding picks, and he routinely misses 1 or 2 "last 4 in", which is all that matters when it comes to guessing who is in or out. Anyone can tell Gonzaga is in. The last 4 is the hard part.

His final bracket will sometimes look good because he gets insider info moments before the official brackets, but his earlier brackets all suck.
