Great article. Mick's teams will always be measured by FHOF Huggs Teams until he gets to a FF. Likely that means forever because making a Final Four and even an Elite 8 is really tough.
OK, the intensity is about to move up another level. I'm geekin.
It's a bummer that a thread like this gets 3 replies, while a thread questioning Mick Cronin's coaching ability pops up every week.

Even still, an excellent read. We may crap out early, but having some positive press can never hurt.

Lots of positive outside press. Saw an article that lists teams capable of elite 8 and we were in that list. Anything can happen in the tourney and I'll be disappointed if we don't make a run, but stuff happens. It has been a fun season and the future looks bright. Hoping we are peaking and ready to roll.
Wow! What a great article!
good read I really like this team and feel like the next few years will only get better
There has been alot of positive press for this team in the national media in terms of being a dark horse to make a deep run . Constantly are hearing this is a typical UC great defensive team now with offensive weapons.

I'm getting leery of all the praise, hoping it wont jinx us. If everyone is saying you are a dark horse then are you really? It will be nice to probably see alot of "experts" pick UC to win a couple games at least and not having them flame out in the first round.

Im more excited going into the tourney this year than in along time . Kudos to Mick and crew for bringing this all together . If both ends of game are clicking we can beat anyone in the country .

oh and next year looks even more promising.

Good assessment and I agree completely. To me, what separates this team from other UC tournament teams in recent years is we haven't seen in-game scoring droughts as frequently or as long in duration. These are usually present in most UC losses and unfortunately are etched in the minds of UC fans. To that point, my only hope is that our very able coaching staff won't allow a three minute drought in NCAA play to become a seven minute drought. Call a timeout, gather the team and put in a set play to stop the bleeding. This team has enough offensive versatility to keep scoring. And scoring is often the name of the game in March.

This team is capable of reaching the Sweet Sixteen and anything short of that will be a major disappointment after an outstanding regular season.
Very good article. No one's talking because we're scared of jinxing the postseason!!

I feel the same way. The team looks great and is playing great. I am a gun shy Cincinnati fan suffering from PSCS. Post.Season.Collapse.Syndrome. I just don't want to talk about it.03-shhhh
