Just Louisiana Tech, who they split the season series with. 0-4 against the rest.
I think our pace/style of play will always produce less recognition than we probably feel some players deserve. The fact is that these things are typically stat driven, and our style just doesn't lend itself to a lot of players putting up a lot of big numbers. I think that, like Trey and Caver, you can have one player put up flashy enough numbers to attract some attention, but when you score in the 60s there just aren't a ton of ppg to go around.
Obviously, everything is based on offensive production. I know stats determine awards but Caver is better defensively than every guard listed above him. No complaints, but I think he is more valuable than a lot of those guys.

Edit: One complaint...WTF with Upshaw being second team? NUMBERS NUMBERS NUMBERS. Unbelievable.

Yeah. Upshaw was surprising to me as well. If I was drafting CUSA players, I think he would be my first choice.
One could argue that Caver could have been 2nd team, but I'm not sure who else at ODU would have belongs on there.
The conference is so bad at selecting these things (and POY).

Marcus Evans is a terrible selection.

Potts and Boykins should be first team. Along with Igor, Upshaw, and williams.

2nd- I would go with Mccree, Johnson, Lee, Elmore, Caver
Reggie Upshaw is a senior.

I had to double-check to make sure that it wasn't another Andre Semenov.

Edit: Oops, they had it correct. Reggie Upshaw, Jr. is a Sr. :)

Right on point. We have good players that are are capable, but not league leaders. I hope Jordan or Denzell makes all defense. They should....

I also think Evans on the first team is an awful selection. All this proves is that you can disregard one side of the ball and get an award for it. Giddy Potts is arguably the best perimeter defender in the league. The fact that he is on the third team is pretty embarrassing for those involved with the selection process.
Chip on shoulder situated . . .
How do Evans and Koulechov rate 1st team? Travesty. Upshaw is a solid lock 1st teamer. This is so bad it's laughable.

No clue but it says a lot for how they view the rest of the team.
Igor deserved it. Evans...i guess you can just chuck and not play defense.

"It's a great accomplishment, individually," Caver said. "But I'd rather get a win. I'd rather have a ring than third-team."
Congrats to Ahmad Caver. Really good young player.
Reggie Upshaw got screwed, and that's the only way to put it. He gets my vote as the player I will be most happy to see graduate. Hopefully, he gets one more chance to do in the Monarchs.
Congrats to Zoran Tally for winning the 6th man award this year.
