UAB comes into tonight's game against FIU with an overall record of 16-14 and conference record of 9-8. FIU has won only two C-USA games - home against North Texas and home against UAB.
The FIU loss represents UAB's worst defeat of the season. The final score was 94-85. UAB gave up 94 points to one of the worst teams in the conference, and it's the most points FIU has scored all season. FIU only took 14 three-pointers, but they made 10 for 71.4%.
UAB just doesn't win basketball games when they give up double digit 3-pointers.
FIU was not only hot from behind the arc, as they also made 20-23 free throws for 87%. Eric Nottage scorched UAB for 37 points, as he was 5-6 on 2-pointers, 6-6 on 3-pointers, and 9-9 from the foul line. Nottage scored 28 points against Middle Tennessee Thursday night.
