I didn't watch much tv to begin with but now I rarely watch any tv. H2 was my staple until it was changed to the awful VICE. History Channel has nothing to do with history.
YouTube my friend,
All of American History is represented in Prince Mongo's junk pile.

You watch even less TV than me.

History has been fluff for quite a number of years now.
"The Vikings" has been one of my favorite shows for the last 5 years.

As far as "Six" goes, anything with Walton Coggins is must see.

While not an avid watcher of American Pickers I do watch it from time to time. That has to be my favorite episode ever.

Same here. My wife even loves it.
I watch it sometimes. I like it as I'm a sucker for antique junk. To think that a lot of what they're paying big bucks I used to own. Metal toys I had galore. Signs, not so much. I love Vikings, Six, and especially the Velocity channel for old hot rods... and TMC for old movies.
You could just get with the program and ditch subscription service and stream everything. The freedom of choice is....freeing.
The History Channel got goofy. It used to be great. Last I saw, it was the Hitler was an alien channel.

The same goes for the travel channel. I like actual travel shows. Last I saw, it was the food network2.0.
I think I have purchased my last TV. I don't really even need it for sports and movies.

That man ran, several times for Mayor in Memphis. Hell, he'd have done no worse than the ****** mayors we've had.

Mine is essentially a very nice computer screen.
On Memorial Day a few years ago I was sitting on the couch flipping channels. Found History Channel, looked at the listing for the day. All Pawn Stars and Ancient Aliens. That was when I stopped watching the History Channel
History channel was never great for me. It felt like it was entirely WWII based with a sprinkle of Egypt. I thought they were righting the ship with How the States Got Their Shapes and stuff like that, but that was pretty short lived.

Eventually it suffered from "hit reality show syndrome" where it got a few week to week hits and when those got 2 or 3 seasons, they replaced all of their programming with that. Same thing happened with TLC, Animal Planet, and NatGeo.

Whenever I want to see something history based, I go to podcasts, YouTube, or PBS.

I'd have voted for him just for the sheer entertainment factor.

But one has to wonder if he was truly eligible, being a native of the planet Zambodia and all.
