Weather.com says it's 81F with a 15 mph south wind -- which is blowing in from right field at TCU's Lupton stadium. Tonight's low temp should be 56F and winds are expected to increase to 20 mph from the southwest, a little more toward the left-field line. Chance of rain: 20%.

Looks like a good evening for outdoor baseball filled with line drives, not fruitless swings for the fences.

Go Owls!!
Is this game being televised anywhere?

It looks like it will be streamed over FrogVision ($9.95/month): http://www.gofrogs.com/collegesportslive/?media=547319

A shame there's is apparently no reciprocal agreement that would allow CUSA.tv subscribers could see it, too.

Doesn't seem that windy to me from my "tailgating" spot next to the Football Stadium

Thanks for the in-person report. Always much more reliable than whatever sorts of extrapolation that leads to the weather.com predictions.
Let's call it "light and variable".
Won't surprise me if the wind keeps picking up.
Today's lineup...

Rice lineup vs TCU: Gneiting 2b, Warren rf, Proctor ss, DiCaprio c, Myers 1b, Chandler cf, Lammons 3b, Sarchet lf, Dunlap dh, Amador P.

Glad to see Andrew FINALLY getting an opportunity, but would have preferred either Sheppard (who has hit numerous hard outs) or Wunderlich (who's a far superior defensive OFer) instead of Sarchet, who has squared up on a ball only a couple times over the first two weeks.

Yeah, nothing's getting out to right tonight. We did put a couple BP balls over the LF fence. It's blowing close to 20mph already.
Something happen to TCU's pitcher? Gametracker has him being removed after just 2 outs

Came out due to injury, not clear what the injury was.
Now Gneitling out of game, coming up gimpy after tagging out TCU trying to stretch a single
1 down, 6 hits for TCU already. They're on pace for 162 hits.
What a disaster. Amador serving up BP. 4-0 Frogs.
4-0 Frogs. Looks like BP for TCU.
I almost drove over for this game (I live in Dallas). Glad I didn't bother. What an abortion.

Work in FW so at least was short drive for me. Still early!
Gotta get the clutch hit, not the inning-ending double play. Bummer.
Can Amador perhaps try throwing with his left hand?
To state the obvious: we don't look like a Graham team--- BP for TCU, two bobbled balls by our OFs, embarrassing throw by our catcher, lollipop double-play grounder. Hope all changes...
I was optimistic as anyone but my goodness....the pitching has been just awful thus far. The number of walks is insane.
