1. The new video board is fantastic. Finally, a scoreboard to complement our excellent ballpark! Will we be getting some HD instant replays this season? Inquiring minds want to know...
2. The concessions are underwhelming. Fewer options and higher prices. I'm particularly annoyed by the $5 hot dog price. That's not acceptable. Hot dogs are the staple of ballpark food and should be priced in the $3 or $4 range. It's not as if you're going to lose money selling them for that price. And, you'll sell more. And, where are the corn dogs? Don't get me started on the lack of funnel cakes...03-banghead

$5 sodas too. It's not like it's a souvenir cup that I can keep in my cabinet for years to come either.
While we are grumbling, I sat on the hill for the first time in years on Sunday. The national championship flag on the left (from home plate) pole really needs replacing as its edges are fraying. Sounds like something from the RBI club. Of course, I rather have a second one to add to the pole.

They aren't even the fresh hot dogs from the Roost grill anymore. I thought $5 was a little steep for something I'd consider par at best. I did hear the BBQ baked potatoes in the Roost were excellent.
Just had sodas, peanuts and popcorn. Smaller packages. Much higher prices. Which I don't mind...if, somehow, it meant more revenue for us.

And let me repeat a question asked a few days ago ( if I missed the answer, forgive me)...weren't we supposed to have beer concessions everywhere? Not just the Roost?

The wedding planner ... er ... concessionaire's application for a license to allow alcohol throughout the park has not been approved by TABC yet.

Ah thanks the the answer, I was curious about this too.
The corndogs are cool and all but not when they are still frozen inside. Prices are high, but welcome to current day sports. Would like something different but stale nachos and frozen corndogs were horrible...

In fact, literally, they are (at least the part that is not frozen).

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has encountered one of these.
