Don't watch much NBA, but a team which has turned it around is the Washington Wizards. Widely considered at best a .500 team which started slowly but has since played as one of the best teams in the NBA.

Sometimes one just doesn't know how or why a team go on a huge run or seemingly fall apart.

BSU will dismantle us if we don't adjust the defense. They pick our zone apart.
I think we finally pick up a win against NIU though. Might be our last one of the season.

I'll pull a WoodenNickle and say I wish I was in Vegas. Three points isn't nearly enough. Sadly, I see Ball State by 10+.
the matchup zone is supposed to prevent Ball State's most effective play, which was to get the ball to 13-14 feet out and find someone right under the hoop for a layup. it's tough to learn a new defense on the fly, but hopefully we can put an end to that parade of points that Ball State received last game.
here's to Timmy staying out of foul trouble today. if our season is salvaged (i'm not betting on it), it will be because Timmy Bond wills us out of the doldrums.

Emu does not have a "team", they have a group of individuals all trying to do their own thing. They have a one pass offense. Too much dribbling and too much trying to figure out what to do as an individual. They don't have enough talent to play like that. That's why they lose. A lot.

This team played
very good ball vs. Pitt, Omaha, Detroit Mercy, Long Beach State + 4 MAC teams in early/mid January.
That 4 - 1 MAC start wasn't a complete surprise. They were handily beating decent teams.

I would love to have Chad Bush ask Murphy if he has considered making any changes on offense or defense to get the team out of the slump. For instance, an offense with more motion and passing with less dribbling and a more aggressive M2M defense.
These changes are not calculus and could easily be implemented. Every day our basketball scrimmage includes playing an offense against a M2M defense.
