Quote:
During the Grant Period, OneVoice Crafted a Political Strategy to
Defeat the Netanyahu-Led Coalition
The peace talks initiated by Secretary Kerry ended in late April 2014.
Shortly afterward—and half-way through the State Department grant period OneVoice leadership began preparing for the next Israeli election. The
Subcommittee’s investigation revealed that, during the grant period, OneVoice developed a political strategy designed to defeat the incumbent Israeli government.
Quote:The Subcommittee finds that the State Department failed to adequately guard against the risk that resources built with government grants would be deployed for political purposes.

The article says that the US gave money to a project called OneVoice. OneVoice is self described as "young grassroots activists in Israel and Palestine are equipped with the knowledge and skills to be heard as they build momentum and a constituency for the two-state solution locally and internationally"
OneVoice partnered with an anti Netanyahu group, V15, during the 2015 Israeli election season.
The article acknowledges that the logic makes sense...US gives money to an organization that trains activists, the organization then uses the money to train activists, they then partner with an anti Netanyahu group using the newly trained activists, financed by the US, to oppose Netanuahu. Where they find fault is that there is no paper trail.
From the article: "Yes, Obama sent money to OneVoice, a group that promoted a two-state solution. And yes that group partnered with a different group V15 that wanted Netanyahu defeated. But there is no paper trail that the money given to OneVoice was spent on an electoral ground game. It would be naive to ignore that OneVoice’s policy positions mesh well with V15’s voter mobilization, but that’s different from saying that American taxpayer dollars were spent by V15."
So they are declaring this as mostly false because there is no substantial proof despite an obvious connect the dots.
The reader needs to use their own logic to make the final determination and decide for themselves the amount of proof necessary in order to make the accusation true.

they "have an agenda" simply because they disagree with what you wanted them to say.
you really want to say politifact has an agenda but "FireAndreaMitchell" doesn't?

Obama's state dept funded anti Netanyahu groups who openly tried to defeat him, period end of story. I don't care about fireandreamitchell. It is 100% True.

Politifact is utter nonsense.
I quit reading it a long time back after following it in the Atlanta paper. A Republican and Democrat could say the exact same thing and the Republican would be called mostly false and the Democrat mostly true.
