If Dodd is right about the AAC being worth 200k per team, then this sh!t might just come to fruition...

Stop...just stop. The AAC will never be part of this nonsense.

TV won't pay AAC $60M for 73 football games with a proven track record of getting you 45million viewers - TV can't afford that.
However, TV will pay $160M for a nucleus of an idea for 3 football games that should draw about 6million viewers total (that's DOUBLE the viewership of FCS semis and championship).

That is big talk, but he may change his mind if the money for a G5 playoff is significant. Like always it will come down to dollars.

The networks pay almost nothing for the c-usa and sunbelt. Mac slightly better because they will play on weird nights. Now all of a sudden networks will pay for a glorified fcs playoff?
The AAC will not join this garbage. You're a asking to be permanently labeled as an nobody if you join this.

Yup. You'd officially win the big battle to be crowned the 66th best team in the nation. I'm sure veiwers would flock to that epic battle. That's the same reason nobody cares about the FCS playoff. The winner is basically seen by Americans as the 129th best college football team in the country. Not exactly must see tv.
