ESPN3 games this week:

UTA at GSU
CCU at Troy
TXST at GSU
App at Troy
Please don't ask why AState/LR are being played on a Friday, you'll get an angry rant from an unhappy stAte fan.

The story is that the game was originally going to be played on Saturday, but this is the 25th anniversary of the Convo (I think) and the people for Luke Bryan called and told Convo officials that they could get a concernt only on this Saturday, take it or leave it.

Rather than screaming Leave it, the only basketball rivalry in the state of Arkansas, which rarely gets Saturday games now thanks to poor Sun Belt Scheduling, is being forced to a Friday against High School basketball tournaments because of a concert.

I admit I had never heard of Luke Bryan before this came out, so in my frustration, I immediately decided to google him to see if he really was such a big deal. That's when I found it...all the understanding I needed.

Listed under education on his Wikipedia Bio: GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY

Its their fault!
TXST ladies take GSU 62-51 tonight. That's 8 wins in last 9 games to get to 9-4 in conference.

Still can't believe we lost to CCU

Next game - Monday vs GS.
Man I can only imagine the scenery at that concert if Luke Bryan came to San Marcos...

He's not very popular with men...that's for sure.
Astate sweeps Little Rock. 67-58

6,367 attendance. Largest crowd since the retirement of the Indian mascot in 2008
Big win for stAte. Now, on to the Luke Bryan assassination!
I had never heard of Luke Bryan either.

I just pray he doesn't try anything like calling the hogs on stage like the last idiot.

You can count on that in Little Rock which always pisses me off. Hopefully, in Jonesboro, he would get booed off the stage.
UTA hits a 3 with 1.1 left to take the 1 point win.
Trying to watch the TXST GS game but about to have to mute it. Great to watch but any home feed is painful to listen to.

I'm consoling myself with the idea that it's what's best for the conference.

Sure.

Here's the best commentary I've ever heard on the country movement that Luke Bryan leads (along with a few others)...

GS plays some basketball that is fun to watch
GS wins 70-67

TXST made a good comeback attempt after an awful start.
Troy beat Coastal Carolina 87-78

15-12 over all record now
Cajun's hit a half court shot at the buzzer to beat ULM 85-84.
