I can't figure out if I agree with it but it shows what others think about his skillset.
Aggressively unathletic...

Yep...He doesn't shoot it well enough and he can't guard...

Not an NBA player at the 4 yet...He can be a small 5 but he needs another 30lbs for that.
Isn't this kinda what most people (sportscasters not included) learned at the combine?
Dedric needs to come back, with a better supporting cast he would be much more coveted. We should have 2 centers next year and at least one more good guard. When you are double and triple teamed it makes it hard to really shine. If any of our recruits turn out to be above average, he'll look a lot better.

Some will argue that he can become a better shooter in the D league. I'm hoping he comes back because we will be ready. Plus the beat writer says they are still recruiting and might sign two more.
Dedric is a tough call. I'd love to see him stay and work on his game, but you wonder how much higher he can improve his stock. The NBA doesn't seem like a logical landing spot if he leaves, but the D-League? Time will tell...

His totals aren't going to get much better...

20 and 10 are pretty much elite...He can become more efficient but it is unlikely his numbers go up any especially his rebounding numbers.

GMs may have different take but regardless no new info other than watching him double teamed and NOT posting up or dunking.
Cedric can only control what he can control. He needs to lower his body fat and add additional muscle. He will get a shot at some point and I think he will stick if he doesn't leave early. Get the free education

Interesting that Tacko is number 23. I remember a thread about if he is a NBA player and I think it proves you can't teach size
Dedric should watch old film of Larry Bird and practice that.
I'd love to think he will return for a third year. I want to believe.
Dedric could probably stay all 4 years and still be headed overseas. Why leave early? Stick it out and enjoy college.
DL does not have the mental mindset to make it in the NBA. He does not work hard enough to get position on his man. I don't think he is mean enough to make it in the NBA. He would get manhandled by NBA caliber players.
Just stop he conversation. Isn't gonna happen

He will play overseas and do well.

No shame in that, but that option will always be there

Thought the same thing when I saw that.

Height can help but still zero guarantee it will help you get drafted.

Mamadou N'Diaye, 7' 6" Center for UC Irvine (he was the opposing center in Tacko's first ever college game last year), left school after his Junior Year due to favorable NBA scouting reports yet was never drafted in either round.

He had some free agent tryouts, then even tried to get on a NBDL Team but was waived as well.

Since only 1st round draft picks receive guaranteed contracts (2nd round picks do not), getting a low 1st round grade is still very risky...and for someone like Tacko that is still just learning the game (only his 5th year ever playing the sport), 95% chance he comes back next year to hopefully make another leap in improvement.
This is good for us. We need him next year and the next. Memphis recruiting scene is pretty weak for a while
