What happened with Perdue?
Had been around forever. I'm guessing decided it was time to move on in life.
WR Will Ulmer is missing from the roster too.
Seems a lot of the good players from 2016 class aren't around..
As stated some of these guys are injured and will be back.
I understand they are injured but unsure why they wouldn't still be listed on the official roster. Champlin said, "There's a chance they could be back this fall." So definitely nothing concrete.

If they don't make it back, they join a pretty large list of players who did not work out, including: Tarik Ballard, Kingsley Ejike, Clifton Garrett, Bobby Gentry, Kendrick Hair, Chett Levay, Quincy Perdue, Raylon Richardson, Ingram Hayek-Tillard, Will Ulmer, & Marquis Wimberly.

Will be interesting to see what guys become available this summer that we will look to add. We are in a situation where it could be extremely helpful to add some 5th year seniors.
Even after you add in the blueshirts (Boler and Griffin), the 2 summer WR's, (Cam Taylor and Justin Walker), the 2 DL nobody knows about, it looks like we would still have room for 4-5 more.
Coach is keeping his cards close to his vest.
Im still confused about this roster situation just hope there's nothing fishy about it.
There were always risks as we were taking chances on some guys...
I'm just glad we can argue about the roster again. I see some posters fantasy championships have taken a hit. LOL
I just am hopeful for a .500 finish. I have not wavered on that. This team can win from 4-8 games depending luck - injuries. 6 will feel like a Championship to me. No wait. Kickoff against A&M will be a Championship in itself.

Coach is playing things close to his vest. I am excited about the future.

Agree with your assessment...
Coach Clark needs to train our fan base on being winners and shedding our loser mentality. I can certainly understand why its ingrained in us.

Winning and Vision does that. The fan base has already shown that if you give us a winner we will give 110% back in return. I think it was evident when the program was shut down. Clark gave the program hope and excitement. That is why we fought so hard to bring it back. Had we had a 1-11/2-10 season, I'm not sure that the fan base would have been as vocal and relentless as it was.

Most fan bases have greater than normal expectations for their team W-L records each year. I, like you AB, think we can win every game until we don't. But there are fans that will be negative even if we get the BCS Bowl invite: "Well let's kiss our coach goodbye" "They will surely find a way to shut us down now" Instead of just enjoying the moment. Anyway... can't wait until kickoff, it's closer than ever but still feel so far away.
We need to come out with a big crowd and big win vs A&M to start the year. a loss to A&M (which I don't think will happen) would kill lots of momentum from a crowd perspective. The first 4 games are big because they are all winnable games.
6-6 is my prediction on this year as it was in Clark's 1st year.
The 1st 3 games will tell us how the rest of the year will go. Im glad we aren't doing 2 bodybags as usual.
Makes no sense why they aren't on the roster. Just because you're hurt doesn't mean you're not on the team. It's the same as leaving redshirts off the roster in my opinion. Very fishy.
