Jeep Jackson was an amazing player at UTEP during the 1980s. He passed away shortly after graduating from a heart defect. He went into cardiac arrest after a charity basketball game played at Ft. Bliss. It wasn't until this year that any player could wear the #22 uniform. Many of his teammates are expected to be at the game and it will be a very emotional night.

I'll be there.
A special player in a special era of Miner basketball. During his 4 years at UTEP the Miners averaged 25 wins per year, won 4 WAC championships when the WAC was much deeper and stronger than it is now, and of course 4 NCAA tournaments.

A talented, hard nosed competitor that played great D and could also run the point and score. And personality, man, everyone loved that guy.
