The Golden Flashes travel to Ypsilanti for a 7:00PM contest against Eastern Michigan. The Eagles are 13-8 overall, 5-3 in the conference and 8-2 at home. A road win over Eastern could be a tall order.
Balance is best word to describe the Eagles this season. All five starters score in double figures. Eastern goes 8 players deep but the most dangerous is 6'10 220 pound sophomore James Thompson IV. Remember last year when some troll from EMU kept coming around and telling us about how good Thompson is? Well, he was pretty close. Although Thompson may not be Zues' gift to basketball, he is darn good with a 14 point and 10 rebound average.
Thats about as deep as I will get into this one. The Flashes need to find wins; especially after losing another one at home. This is a team that could frustrate Jimmy Hall. If they do, who steps up for Kent State?

Kent State wins 70-64; in the last few minutes, EMU had 4 players foul out - Steele, Thompson, Bond, and Madray. Peterson made 4 straight free throws to close it out

That was ugly. As to be expected with a game featuring Jimmy Hall vs. James Thompson it looked to be pretty chippy. Could've been more enjoyable to watch if the refs swallowed their whistles more often but I think the chippy-ness resulted in them calling it tighter. Whatever, I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day.
There were 12 fouls called in the first 5 min. of the 2nd half. 19 in the first 8. Very hard to watch.

Sure, we do not have to overcome his TO with a minute left in the game.
Hard to watch, but I will take it. I am getting more and more impressed with Peterson and I think Sendy is too. I keep waiting for JH to grow up, but I do not now believe it will happen.
