I'm hoping we take advantage of our size on the wings with Dixon and Prewitt and use them in the post some.

Would be good to get their big in foul trouble too.
Whitman has become our second or third best option on offense and if he comes to play and doesn't get in foul trouble himself he can get their big man out of the picture early.

Whitman has developed into a good offensive player. FT's are not great, but I wonder if his shoulder is a factor in that.
As opposed to Sheldon, Whitman's form looks fine, although I think he puts a little too much spin on the ball. I think his percentage will improve year over year. Another year of good health and time in the weight room would help a lot.
I just meant Whitman has been playing hurt much of the year.
UNCW's 20th offensively per KenPom. It's unlikely that W&M can do anything defensively to slow them down so it will be big for the offense to come out clicking.

Agreed need to work our offense and get good shots, don't take the first look from 3.
I know I'm in the minority, but I think we're better off running with them. Last time they killed us with threes and points off of turnovers. Not being in a half court offense doesn't allow them to set up the press. Our only real chance is that they shoot 35% from the floor and we turn it over less than 10 times.
UNCW is a lot better than us this season. Hell they're practically a top 25 team. More than winning or losing I want to see our guys stay within themselves and execute the gameplan. Even against a top team. And even when things may not be going our way. Winning would just be gravy

Hopefully the refs call the game accurately this time. Last time Cacok got away with about 6 fouls (pretty much no fouls in general were called the entire game) and W&M got worn out because there were so few stoppages in the first 30 minutes of the game.

I wouldn't say we are better off running with them. Our guys couldn't even get back on defense the last 10 minutes of the game because they were so tired.

That being said, if we beat their press and have a chance at an easy basket, we need to capitalize. If not, set the offense and go from there.

Need to make sure everyone gets a touch each offensive possession and we attack UNCW inside. Can't settle for low percentage 3s or the game will get out of hand quickly.
Hawks favored by 6

One Tribe. One Family.
Keys (I'm looking for) include (#3) controlling the game tempo better than last time (slowing down their fast breaks), (#2) controlling second chance points by winning the rebound battle and (#1) controlling turnovers - don't just throw the ball away! 17 turnovers provided 32 points last game. If that happens again, Jay and Charlie will be looking for good things to say towards the end of the game, as the Seahawks put up another 100.
The concern here is that, even last game, against a much slower Delaware team, the Tribe, especially in the first half, made too many sloppy turnovers, several times just throwing it right to Blue Hen players. That can't happen today.

Jack and Nathan will have their hands full with Cacok. He is averaging a double double and can shoot. Amazing stat: Cacock has missed only 31 shots all year. UNCW has played 22 games. That means he misses just over one shot a game!

We proved last game that we can penetrate their defense and score, but I don't think we can survive another shootout. Control tempo - win the game.
Haha. Interesting enough Cacok has missed 31 FGs all year 126-157 for a 80.3% but he has missed 33 FTs this year 32-65 for a 49.2%.

If game happens to be close at the end can we play hack a Cacok?
Damn this flu bug. We missed Thursday's game because Mr. Ribe was sick...and now it's my turn. Best laid plans...

NJAlum--sorry we will miss you. Let me know if you want our seats. I can get in touch with Spencer to set you up.
I look for Omar to play a big, positive part in this game...just feel he's ready to take off.
Mrs Got Ribe, hope you guys feel better. I had it in early January.
Well here we go baby! STILL undefeated at home! #FortressKaplan

If you believe the myth that it's hard to beat a team three times then you want UNCW to win today so W&M can save its win for the tourney. (Just understand it's not real.)
Oh **** it's Tony's birthday. I believe the myth that coaches get extra luck on their birthday.
