ATH Jayshon Jackson out of Chicago. 5-10 , 170 lbs.

And so it begins, the first decommitment of the 2018 class. Jackson recently received an offer from that school down south we've beaten 2 out of the past 3 times (Cincy). Was "committed" to UT for not even 3 months, wow.

Respect his decision or else!!!

He's now committed to Cincinnati.

Players don't pick schools over who beat who (most of these kids couldn't even tell you UC and Toledo have ever met on the gridiron). If it was based on wins and losses nobody would ever go to schools like Purdue, Indiana and Illinois. They pick schools based on relationships with the coaches and players, culture and influence from their family and friends.

We know. Chuck mentioned that because he just figured if you're stealing our 5'10", 170 pound guys with no defined position the trend will likely continue. 03-wink

And that's why Joker Phillip had to resign from the Florida Gators. Phillips attempted to develop relationships and violated NCAA recruitment rules
doing so. After he was caught for the one infraction, the photo surfaced that had him recruiting an athlete in public during the dead period. Multiple Level 2 infractions can mean a Level 1 penalty. And now the Joker is a Bearcat Assistant Coach. Good luck.

Actually it is 3 out of the last 4 times, but apparently Jayshon & Warren don't care. Tuberville was just collecting a paycheck at U Can't spell sUCks without UC, but the former $uckeye asst has made huge strides as the new HC. I would expect UT should expect more and more recruiting wars with UC, much like they have had with Dantonio in the past.
This kid may not even be a part of UC's recruiting class in December or February if Fickell has a chance to sign higher rated players I'm sure he will. After all processing recruits was big at OSU and especially Michigan the last few years.
We cheated and the kid may get recruited over before signing day. Got it.

There seems to be a trend emerging. You should probably just keep recruits from visiting that town down south in the corner of the state.

Toledo's new city motto....We are like Dayton, just not as polished.

Who else you got UC might be interested in?

Nobody said the Bearcats cheated to get this player. Just that one of the Bearcats' Asst Coaches resigned from UF for violating NCAA recruiting rules. Good luck to the Bearcats for the 2017 FB season.

3 UC wins were prior to 1954. Since 2000 Rockets are 2-1. The Rockets loss was a road game with the back up QB Logan Woodside getting his first start after Phillip Ely was lost for the season during the Mizzou game. The past two season Toledo would have beaten UC. Basketball is another story.

The lead recruiters were Gino Guidugli and OC Mike Denbrock. Gino had a relationship going back to his time at CMU. Denbrock is the primary recruiter in Chicago. Joker's territory is down south.
Cincinnati Versus Toledo

Toledo and Cincinnati should play every year. It makes sense both competitively and geographically. Unfortunately UCinn is tied into an annual game versus Miami of Ohio.

UC fans agree. Miami does nothing to help us in recruiting and spread our brand. We are now at a point where we have nothing to gain by playing them and a loss would be a huge setback. Our AD was prepared to scrap the Miami series before the Big East split. Then we lost local games against Louisville, Pitt and WVU and are now kind of stuck.

So your WR position coach has nothing to do with WR recruits.

You want to count the 01 and 95 games but not the 93 Cincinnati win or the 50s win. We can all play the minimize the other teams wins etc... The loss up there was due to an interception return and a ko return. We gave you the game. You have a nice little program, we have dominated your conference so the idea of another Mac team on our schedule does not strike fear in our heart.
Don't compare Toledo to all the other MAC schools you see. Toledo is always in the top 3 in the conference while the others rotate in and out.
I understand Toledo are being judged by who it is associated with.
Toledo is NOT a little football program.

To further your point, Toledo had 3 guys taken in the draft while Cincy had 1. Also, we're both in the so-called G5 conferences, so not really sure where he's coming from.
I respect your program. Kareem and Whiteside were very good football players and you had a very good offensive line. The "little" was out of line, but your guy fired the first shot.

That's OK, Cinci has a nice little program as well.

OH! And by the way, KICK THE HELL OUT OF MICHIGAN THIS YEAR! For all us little programs...we already knocked 'em out when we had our chance!
