This could be a real find for us. Let’s hope he is the real deal. It could explain the gray shirts from this class
I was just looking at the 24/7 2018 list of commits and it shows two of them have not signed yet.
Does anyone have an clue what’s the reason

Usually there are academic issues.
I believe UT pulled offers to White and Wiley if that is to whom you are referencing.

UT dropped White's offer a couple weeks before NLI day and Wiley had potential grade issues.

I double checked and yes they are the guys. Kind of a bummer for those guys. How does a student that really has a learning issue, I mean if he or she has a disability but is very athletic get a chance to play sports.

They go the JC route. If they can cut it there they’ll still have an opportunity to play at a four year school.

varies by school and also the resources of their high school to document and establish their disability. some years back Stan had a key post recruit from michigan named paul crosby who had a documented learning disability. although, he had test taking challenges, he was actually cleared by the NCAA but UT didn't admit him and he went juco. it was a case that really aggravated tensions between stan and the administration who had not supported the program much in stan's latter years. crosby bounced around a bit but eventually became the SWAC player of the year and led mississippi valley state to the ncaas

Just realized on the roster that our top recruit from 2018 Jalynn Williams has switched from WR to CB. This may be old news

He was listed as an Athlete in the signing day material, and last year's roster had him listed as CB too.

Recruited as a DB.
he had a very impressive HS tape wr, returns, db, even basketball. extremely talented kid who seemed to slip off some big time programs' radar after early offers. not sure if anyone has any insight on his practice play at UT...
Pono... there’s a ton of competition at DB this season. Lots of “good” players but can we put together a top secondary with emerging very good players. The DB’s and OL are the biggest keys to a possible very successful 2019. We will score points as always. Perhaps a few less given the fact that we lost major talent at WR. The run defense should be stout so that leaves us with questions about the pass D. If DC George can get that right then we’ll be rolling to a 13 or 14 game season. I’ve got to believe the J Williams will be in the mix with Womack, Clark, etc. for PT. I’m sure he’ll get into the mix

Go Rockets!!!
It's nice gping in knowing we have a very solid CB with Clark. Would have to think that with the rest of the group someone will step up
