Wonder if this would have any influence on Kenyon's kid.[/align]
You can bet that was a positive consideration
Mick should be all in on getting KMJ. I would like to see a similar role be given to KMart

Are Kenyon and DerMarr close? I mean I know they were teammates obviously.

I think Kenyon said he didn't really want him to go to UC. Nothing against UC or Mick just wants him to be able to play somewhere out of dad's shadow.

Now, obviously if the kid really wants to come here Kenyon won't stop him.

If he's anything like his dad, he might relish those expectations. I doubt he ends up here, but you never know. WVU would make sense in my mind but I don't know how many years of coaching Huggins has left.
I knew something was up. He has been sitting behind the bench in a bearcat polo the last couple of games.

This was announced by Chuck on the pregame show several games ago.
I can't help but wonder how much game he's got left, and will he play in practice?
I realize he is a "student assistant coach", but does anyone know his academic standing? Is he a sophomore yet?

He played in "The Basketball Tournament" with James White this year.
"With the stakes high and a few of his teammates missing, Johnson helped carry his shorthanded squad to two victories and advance to this weekend's Sweet 16 in Philadelphia. Johnson, the sixth pick in the 2000 NBA draft, had 29 points on Saturday and 27 on Sunday. A serious car accident in 2002 derailed his NBA career, but during the tournament's first two rounds, he showed glimpses of the player that scouts and coaches once compared with all-time greats. "I always tell people, 'DJ was Kevin Durant before Kevin Durant,'" former Georgetown and NBA forward Michael Sweetney told VICE Sports."

"Now 36, Johnson is trying to get into professional coaching or in a front office position."

Maybe one of the top five Bearcats ever in terms of raw talent? I remember him singlehandedly burying Louisville with corner jumpers in Freedom Hall one night. What could have been for him--for that whole team. We'll never know.
Sounds like he has a great perspective on life. Rooting for him to do well.
