Who is here from Utah Valley?

What are you hearing about your school in trying to get more attention along the Wasatch Front?
They've become quiet on the WAC Scout board.
UVU was in town last weekend for the baseball series. They traveled pretty well, as WAC / out of state teams seem to go. They have a few Californians who likely made the easy trip to see their kids play. They were a pretty passionate group as well. Kind of surprising that we don't have more UVU fans here. I don't see the guys who used to post on Scout boards.
So are there really no UVU fans on this board? I wanted to ask what they're planning on doing for tickets to the BYU game this season. Are they going to make it so you have to buy season tickets to get the BYU game, are they going to try to prevent all the cougar fans from buying all the tickets and making it a home game? Or does UVU not care who's in the stands as long as it sells out? I heard BYU boosters were asking their AD how to get seats for that game and he was saying he has no way to get seats other than what the visitors are given. I hope UVU can make the most out of this home game.- I don't think they've sold out a game since going D1 and never since their first game in the arena.
There use to be 2 maybe 3 UVU posters on the old Scout site. They seemed to go with how their MBB team was doing. Figured they'd come back. Not a peep from them when they beat NMSU last year. Also their own fan board for UVU fell apart. Didn't help that it was operated by a USU fan, who eventually gave up.

I really wanted UVUFans.com to succeed. I went to UVU and still follow the program as my #2 team. I still go to a few games every year. Unfortunately it was too much to maintain a forum that never had any traction. I invited several people to be moderators and they all turned it down. Even with spam prevention in place it became a job where I'd just log in every week or 2 and delete all of the spam posts. If there were ever interest in it then I'd be willing to make another run at it.
I went to UVU and I'd be a fan if they were more competitive.

I think they should get a football program and aggressively try to get into the Big Sky.

I think Mark Pope is moving the program forward for sure. They looked very strong against Kentucky. This year might see the Wolverines make some serious strides. I love seeing their success, as it helps the WAC look all the better! So long as they drop a couple to GCU every year, I hope they win most of their games :)
