Quote:President Trump plans to sign executive orders reviving the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, which had been stalled under the Obama administration, sources tell Fox News.

The moves had been widely expected, as Trump blasted his predecessor for effectively blocking the projects amid environmental and other concerns.

While the Canada-to-Texas Keystone project was at the center of a heated debate for years until the Obama administration rejected a key permit in November 2015, the Dakota pipeline more recently became the subject of fierce protests until the Army Corps of Engineers in December blocked construction of a controversial segment.

The expected moves come as Trump makes the economy and jobs the centerpiece of his administration’s first week in office.

Quote:The pipelines were one of the few issues that put the Obama administration at odds with labor unions, some of whom have voiced hope the Trump administration can work with them to promote job creation. Trump said Tuesday during his meeting with auto industry bosses that he considers himself an environmentalist, but called current regulations "out of control."

It's been less than a week and I'm starting to get tired of all the winning.
Should Never have been stopped as We need to never depend on Middle Eastern oil only ever again. No one can predict the actual future so why leave it in troubled hands to start with.
Pump Jack by Toby Keith comes to mind.

Drill baby, drill!
So much winning... I am even tired of winning!
As an Army football fan and Pirates fan, I will never get tired of winning.

You boys need to get a second wind.
Wonder what an avalanche of Canadian ng will do to coal prices?
Trump is moving so fast the democrats can't analyze and disseminate their talking points fast enough and don't have a script to follow
Boom!

I love it!

The pipeline project has the potential to do wonders for certain parts of the United States.
I think we need more studies to verify if pipelines are safe before moving forward.

Yea!!!!

More jobs for Canada. Lower prices for American natgas producers....

Keystone is worse for the natgas patch than it is for the environment.

so Canadians are going to come and build the pipeline here in the states? 07-coffee3
I love reading the news and then asking myself what will Tom's crazy argument be for why this is an awful idea?
Somehow... this is going to be a draconian effort to kill the gays... I'm sure of it.
Trump just signed the orders on building these two pipelines. He said they have to meet some issues. One is the pipe they use has to be made in the USA. Keystone alone will create 28,000 jobs. I am dizzy with all of these Obama failures being corrected so fast. It is awesome.
Tom just mad because someone else is laying the pipe.

So you trade 300 temp jobs for 3,000 permenent ones. Great. And that's before the impact of a flood of cheap Canadian product comes down the pipeline, undercutting American producers.

We are basically building an access road for our competitor to beat us on price.

This is stupid.

This is why we hired a BUSINESSMAN as our President, and not an activist.

Trump won't let us get screwed on any deal.
