Set the standard high and enforce it in regard to violating the principle of non aggression. I have no problem with this.

Most of the rioters who come out and do these things are from violent anti-government groups who couldn't care less about who is in power, though I'm sure Trump's ... "flamboyant" ... style is aggravating them even more than usual. They are dangerous to the security of the nation and they are violent people who emerge from the shadows every so often and need to be dealt with quickly and safely.

Yep. Now I feel like we have far too many non violent offenders in prison, and the fact that we have the highest % of our population in prison than any country on earth is shameful, but violent criminals should be punished to the fullest.

That is a good way of putting it. I hope the Conservatives at some point grasp that it can swing back if they go full on uber Right. My advice...Govern from the middle as much as possible. Not every issue is that important to fight the left over. Get what you want but be smart about it. The pendulum effect is fluid.

Yeah the election of Trump is 100% a slap at the far left who has tried to demonize anyone who doesn't fully embrace every single new letter they want to add to the LGBTQPRSTUV whatever. However, the general view has shifted a great deal from where it was 12 years ago when essentially Bush won reelection because of states like Ohio having gay marriage bans on the ballot. Trump barely mentioned gay marriage, and when he did he either supported it or just went with it's been settled. If the conservatives are smart and don't try to push too far right socially and focus on a conservative fiscal agenda I think the Dems are in trouble long term. I think that the country is in general center left socially and center right fiscally. The Dems have gone insanely too far left fiscally and Trump socially is the most centrist if not slightly left of any GOP candidate ever. I don't see Trump spending much time worrying about gay marriage or LGBT issues, which will be very smart. I do see a lot of congressional GOP members, especially from very conservative states, seeing this as a time to "strike back" and that long term will play into the Dems hands and giving them proof that all their crying wolf was actually true. I think that would be bad for the country if that happens, because honestly I think we need to shift the country fiscally back to the center and the Dems will never do it.

Anyone who commits a violent act against any person or their property deserves to have the book thrown at them, period. Now if any of those arrested were indeed not committing acts of violence then I hope they are completely exonerated as peaceful protest is a fundamental right. Violent protest is not and anyone who was engaging in that no matter their reasons should be punished to the fullest extent. Now I think we need to make serious changes in the way we handle non-violent offenders, specifically drug users, but that's a totally different discussion for another day if you were vandalizing things and attacking people you are trash and you deserve jail time.
The force and concept of common sense is returning to a good portion of people. The silent majority are just that. However please keep showing the leftist agenda and lack of solutions. Keep doing what you are doing and our side will continue to grow & keep WINNING!
