Makes one appreciate the women's play that much more.
Chips doing their best to make it interesting by throwing elbows
Lauf drew 2 charges/elbows, Rockets cut it to 5, but too little too late, CMU back up 9.
Meh, didn't expect us to beat CMU anyway. More disappointed in the lackluster effort at Western. For whatever reason, this team has slipped into a funk. Hope it disappears when we play BG.
Well, it's looking like we might be the best team in the East Division. Not looking so good in the West. 03-melodramatic

Great question! Same no help defense he has played since arriving in Toledo. He will have the same excuse as always, it is his players fault not his.

No grit and hustle. Every cmu miss their players are all over the boards with Toledo players standing around. Every Toledo miss and no Toledo players nearby with cmu getting the easy board.

Cmu guys blowing past Toledo's matador defense all night.

Not sure how you can watch this as a head coach and not think you have to change something, or emphasize defense a little (a lot) more.

Fan apathy is setting in.
I have an idea for a new cheer for football and men's basketball. It would go like this:

One side of stands: TOL

Other side of stands: E [Pause] O

What do you think?

In the Buffalo and Miami home games, it was very clear that they had placed a higher emphasis on defense. I am not sure what happened in these two road games, but hopefully, they can play with the defensive effort and intensity that they displayed in their most recent home games more consistently.
How sad. Losing two games we should have one. Like football they don't care how many points the opponent gets, we just have to score one more point then them. Offense is fun and defense is overrated hmmmm. 03-banghead

Perfect. I couldn't stand that cheer before, but now it has meaning.

You're right -- definitely was a different focus in those games. Unfortunately that has been the exception and not the rule this year, as the large sample shows them generally giving up around 90 a game.
Those first 11 points by CMU were painful to watch. Just could never recover.

On the flip side, the completely gutted and renovated BW3 on Central Ave. is fantastic. Nicest one I've ever gone to eat. Great place to watch a game, just wish the outcome was better.

I am not sure this offense is fun. One pass and a three clanking off the iron is not fun at all

1st time CMU has outrebounded an opponent since Dec 3rd.

This team is 500 at best, and next year may be worse. It think MOB should start thinking about a new coach. Team is slow and don't know how to play defense. Other teams in the MAC are always good, we on the other hand play at 500 or a little better. Time to start thinking about a new coach.

I'm inclined to give TK 2 more seasons. You're probably correct that next season may be challenging, as we lose some key pieces and need to see how the many new pieces coming in fit together...so I think the season after that, when Sanford & Navigator are seniors, will be key. I want to see TK succeed, but the opportunities are getting slimmer...

Slim indeed.
