Great. How badly does he want it?

Even though he left in a bit of a childish way, and stole our recruits, I think an adult approach and letting him have his mantra back is the way to go.

Sure, sell it to him (kinda stale in Kalamazoo now, like outdoor Christmas decorations this time of year)...but get enough to pay several assistant coach salaries for it.

BS, this is a BUSINESS not a charity. PJ knows that, we now know it.

If he wants RTB great, what's in it for us?

How about a home and home with UMinnesota?

Oh, I agree totally, I was not suggesting gifting it back to him. Someone's got to pay.

Yeah we can exact some value from it and help fund the new coaches salary. wonder if he would be paying for it personally or would Minnesota buy it.
lets start with the cost to totally wipe it off all the signage in and around waldo
^ What he said.
I am deadly serious, if PJ wants the rights to RTB he has to provide something of sufficient value to Western. The way his departure came down hurt our program, flipping 9-10 of our recruits hurt us. Ok, way it is, that's the business we are in.

I'd be glad to accommodate him on that marketing tool, but he has to accommodate us on our needs. A high percentage of gate Bronco game at Minnesota followed by their visit to Kalamazoo-hyped by the HC situation-would be a great deal.

How'z about it, PJ? Help heal the hurt, show everyone no hard feelings and that you're a mensch!

We could replace the cover over the old player tunnel with this:

Who will determine the value? Is the only consideration the cost of de rowing WMU or could other factor enter in to it which might increase its, value to WMU? Maybe they already worked these details out in his last contract?..
WMU better get a royalty deal out of it, in perpetuity... don't just take a lump sum. I bet Minnesota sells a lot more merchandise than WMU does.
Let me start by saying for the record - I appreciate what PJ brought us over the last four years, and how well he's built up our program.

NOW... This guy came here four years ago blabbering on about how we lacked traditions. He brought his own mantra and soaked nearly every corner of our program in it. He created chants of "Row, Row, Row" for the students... claiming he wanted to BRING TRADITIONS TO WMU.... Now he's gone and wants to take his traditions with him? This guy is a piece of work. (not that we wanted any of that row row row B.S any longer any how... but geesh).

Yeah his quote was what are they going to do with it?Well how much is it worth to him ?Probably a lot it's his brand and he will want to take it,where ever he goes. This seems to be one detail he didn't quite nail down before he jumped ship.
Let's start with giving us back the recruits he stole. Then we will talk monetary value. What's it worth to him? Maybe $1,000,000.
Lets get a jump on trademarking "ELITE"... maybe we can squeeze him on that one too...
yep, make him pay. Those RTB decals all over the facilities won't be cheap to remove.
I don't want to 'row' anymore. The new coach won't either. Get $100,000 for it, spruce up the Seelye Center and call it a day.

I think that is a little low.
