Downtown Boone.

The Piedmont area of North Carolina is getting more snow than the mountains this storm, but Boone will have it on the ground for longer.

App has a few web cams on campus as well.

You can keep it too. It's just cold here. (30, wind chill 18) I moved here to get away from cold so it needs to just stop.
Pretty ugly in Houston too. Forecast was for a low of 29. I decided to wrap my pipes anyway. Real low this morning...21.

OK, you can be semi-pro.

That's more like it. I like to think we're at least minor league.
I grew up with that white stuff. I walked to school for 9 years (K-8) in snow. We had more than one winter where we couldn't even open our front door (and we had a step up porch) because it was so high and with a 150 foot driveway we had a few times we had to wait to get plowed out; couldn't see our cars and couldn't go to work. (ok, didn't fret over that much)

I'm not an amateur but I sure as heck don't miss it. That means I don't even want the cold now.

Yeah, but we have more wet snow. That should count for something.
I saw an ice crystal in the bed of my truck this morning.
I was up at 5:30.

Our bird bath water was frozen solid. It was, at the same time, funny and sad watching the birds trying to peck through it. It wasn't going to crack.

Yes, we went out and replaced it.
