And a contract with LifeLock for the playbooks?
Clawson is a classy guy and had done a really good job for Wake.

Agreed. He might not win the ACC like Grobe but I bet they'll be bowl eligible more often than not.
He's done a great job, and I expect that the Deacons will do really well next season. If Louisville's O-Line doesn't get substantially better, I could see Wake jumping up to 3rd in the Atlantic.

It going to be a featured game for us next year...and I expect another dog fight.

Oh yeah it is!! I think this year saw us have great games with most of our conference breathern!!
And I can guarantee you that most are circling our game next to get payback!!
(looking at you FSU, Cuse, NC State and Wake!) and our Clemson game needs NO extra Juice!!
Should make for an EXCITING 2017!!!!
FlossY Out...
Good move by Wake. I don't think this is HUGE (no word on the dollar amount) or long term. 8 years isn't that long in the college football world.

It's pretty huge. It means Wake can't fire him if he sucks.

^^^^
This
The length is what makes it HUGE...8 years...heck of a gamble...most are usually around 4 year extensions.

The length may be a little unusual. When you sign a 4 year extension every year is 8 that outrageous?
People continue to underestimate Wake Forest. They are rich, private, old-school, southern, conservative, and Baptist. Don't let their endowment fool you. That is a fraction of their net worth.
North Carolina is a right-to-work state. They could fire him today just because they feel like it. I'm sure there is a buyout but Wake won't blink if they want him gone. Being private, Wake likely will not release the details of the contract. It is possible that, if he got in a motorcycle accident with his mistress, he could owe Wake money.

Yeah, but what about this guy?
