Is Indiana vs Utah really worth 3 hours of prime time OTA?

Why have most of the bowls sold out to ESPiN who do nothing but talk about the CFP teams during these telecasts?!? Seems to me the Foster Farms Bowl wants to not be associated with that cartel.

I understand why the Foster Farms bowl would want to be on prime time OTA. What I don't understand is why FOX would be willing to accommodate them.
The Cure Bowl should plead with CBS to get the game next year on CBS rather than CBSSN

Damn Quo, you of all people should know the answer to this. P5, P5, P5.

Thus ends the lesson. 05-stirthepot

Fox is investing in college football and the B1G and Pac 12 are two of its three key properties. I would hope that they are target other bowls such as the Alamo and Holiday also.

Amen brother. I'm for any network willing to try and break ESPN'S death grip on college football. 04-cheers
Sun Bowl is on CBS (OTA).

Not saying it makes sense. But only a handful (fewer?) are non-ESPN/ABC anyway.

Because airing live football is much better than throwing on random reruns of their shows like all the other stations are doing this time of year.

And one can never tell --- the B1G and Pac-12 has some big-name football programs. Indiana vs Utah isn't a name-brand match-up, but you get a shot at the likes of Wisconsin, Nebraska, PSU, MSU, Oregon, UCLA, USC, et cetera.

One thing this Bowl should do is move back to San Francisco proper. Not only is a better venue, but the weather tends to be 5-8 degrees warmer after dark in December in San Francisco vs. Santa Clara. It's chilly out there tonight and it's been that way for each of the 3 games in Santa Clara.
Why...why not?
A bowl doesn't need to be held hostage by ESPN. Not to mention getting a better timeslot and OTA TV....especially with the millions of people that are dropping ESPN.

But that's been that way since I started following college football about 20 years ago. It seemed strange to watch such a pedestrian bowl OTA.
If Fox chooses to broadcast a College Exhibition Game over some Fox Rerun...so be it...07-coffee3

What is ASN?

Sent from my SCH-I535 using CSNbbs mobile app
ASN is American Sports Network, basically syndication except that the local station owners (Sinclair, I think) own ASN.

Yep. May not be a national network, but it IS over-the-air (where available, which is a lot of places)
