Yep, I was on News Channel 12 last night talking about the contest. The two remaining contestants have been in the car for 9 days now. It's got to be getting rough on them now. :eek:

Yep, that's it. It's at Rogers-Usry Chevrolet/Hummer on Highway 80 in Brandon, and actually GW, this may not pertain to kickoff in a few days, but Joe Usry who is part owner of the dealership is a die-hard Rebel fan and a big time contributor. When I buy my Avalanche, I'm going to get it from them.
Of course 10MAN, if you'd been listening to the station, you'd know that's where we are set up...

The last time our station did this (before my time...I was still in Tupelo), it went for 29 days. I've also heard of this type of contest going for four months. Ouch!!! :eek:

I walked right into that one, didn't I? Truth be known, I don't listen to a whole lot of radio, usually just mp3's in my truck. And when I do listen to the radio, it's usually the Savage Nation
talk show, but very rarely do I get that chance.
I will check out the new format y'all've got now, though. That's a promise.
I like a lot of what y'all play, but being a Top 40 station, you have to play that "other" side of music, too.

Actually 10MAN, we play very little rap now, and it's only during nights and overnights. It's very select, and not more than two rap songs per hour, if that many. We're much more rock based now.
Savage is DA MAN...almost. Actually, DA MAN is Neal Boortz out of Atlanta. Too bad he's not on one of our stations here, but he lives up to his nickname...the talkmaster.
