According to this article, SEC fans hashtag GameDay tweets with their team tags more than any other conference:

That does NOT mean there are 3 times as many SEC fans... just that they hashtag 3X as often. For example, here is the most common hashtag by state:

Like JMU REALLY has the most fans in Virginia?
FWIW, FSU fans are very creative in their use of the hashtag...

Perhaps the rest of us need to figure this out?
It seems like fans should pay attention to the game instead of screwing around with their phones.
I wonder if they searched #SolidOrange for Clemson as most people I know do a combo of #GoTigers #SolidOrange of some sort from the Solid Orange campaign by the athletic dept.

I wonder where #ROLETIDE is on the list. I'd put money that its embarrassingly well represented.

Not sure what we need to figure out. Is there some significance to any of this?
I have Twitter, use it every day, but have never used a hashtag.

I don't intend to, either.
Considering the ratio of bad/misleading info to good/useful info spread on Twitter, why does anyone use it? It seems to cause more harm than good.

Like most social media, it's a terrible idea and our collective lives would be markedly better off w/o it.

That depends on who you follow on Twitter.

It gives you lots of headlines/info to view in a short period of time.

You can then click on the links to go to the full article. I like it.

Thanksgiving Mark, I always figured you were big into conspiracy theories.

#TheTruthIsOutThere
Maybe the SEC has an abundance of twits. 😀
