Get a grip. I saw the Magnificent Seven (the one with Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, and Charles Bronson) when it was released, 56 years ago. I lived in San Antonio when Kennedy was shot. I still think of Cruise as a punk named Joel with a transvestite at his door, not somebody romancing Rene Zellwegger.
All I have to do to feel old every day is look in the mirror!
Speaking of Tom Cruise, Top Gun came out the 30 years ago...

That's what I think of when I think of Cruise. That, and how could Kelly McGillis be gay?
Last year was the 50th anniversary of Hard Day's Night. I saw it in a Drive-in (younger ones-look it up) with my older sisters who were really into the Beatles.

Think my parents wanted a night out so they dropped my sisters, a couple of their friends and me off with a blanket and headed out.

There are repercussions for putting my picture up!
When my wife's parts quit working, I felt old. When my parts quit working I will know it is official.
I just finished reading Empire of the Summer Moon, a history of Quanah Parker, the last and fiercest of the Comanche war chiefs. He died just thirty years before I was born.

I saw Creature from the Black Lagoon when it was released in the early 1950s. First movie I recall seeing in a theater. Scared the crap out of me. I was a little kid, maybe 6 or 7. Watched it again many years later, and it was just funny.

And Tom Cruise is still a punk.
Triple A is an old dude..... Wow who would have thunk !

They filmed those creature movies where they filmed the old Weissmuller Tarzan movies, at Silver Springs Florida. The Blob, the Creature movies, and a host of Alien invasion movies all came out then. I mentioned the 7 because even for these young kids that is a film they probably have seen. It is one of the two most viewed movies worldwide.
