This is so unbelievable. Condolences to the families. How sad.
Terrible. and was it necessary to end the article saying what WMU's basketball record was?
2 football players charged with armed robbery in August and now this. Apparently not a great environment to be in. Yeh, kids get into trouble at all schools, but 2 separate incidents involving fire arms with one ending up in a murder? That is definitely not common.

That was strange.

They should have at least said, "Western Michigan is allegedly 3-6 on the season."

Michigan can be rough place. People get robbed held up, shot. People drink poisoned water. A couple years ago a well liked football player at EMU was robbed and killed. I wouldn't consider 2 cases a pattern. Really sad for a family to bury their son over a few bucks and a phone.
...this is why Tod kicks bad actors off his teams.

I'll take soft defenses and good citizens everyday.

Why limit yourself? Demand both strong defenses and good citizens (and good students as well, while we are at it).

We've lost three students to stabbings, one virtually on-campus, that weird bizarre death (killing?) over the summer few years ago near International and then the just recent off-campus. We had a campus cop kill a co-ed. Every place has their tragedies, I'm not going to pile onto theirs. If there's problem with who their athletic dept letting problems on campus, AD needs to sniff that out. Could just as well be a random choice of the numbers.

Oh yeah, and the whole town shut down three days because of the water.
