...South Carolina offensive line coach Shawn Elliott, ESPN sources say. Elliott served as South Carolina's co-offensive coordinator from 2012 to 2015 and was interim coach following Steve Spurrier's midseason retirement.
Dammit. I was hoping Elliot would be in Boone after Satterfield.

Where is Satterfield going? Was he involved in any rumors this year?
I just meant in a few years when satterfield moves on. His daughter will be a senior at WHS next year and I've heard that he wants to stay until she graduates. I was hoping Elliot would be in Boone once Satterfield does go.
I can't imagine any P5 pursuing Satterfield. What am I missing?
oh
And here we go.
I agree. Satterfield is mediocre G5 at best. You don't want none of this. Nothing to see here. Move on.
Satterfield should be on P5 teams radar. I would love to see him move on as most GS fans would
I had a weird feeling this was going to happen. I didn't think, based on most App fans perspective, that App alumni and coaches had a positive relationship with Charlie Cobb.

Your rivalry with Georgia State just got far more interesting. Elliot has a stake in the hatred for all things Georgia Southern so it should be interesting. On a side note, Georgia State's running game just got a lot better.
Believe this guy interviewed for the Troy job 2 years ago.
Fun fact this now makes 3 former Apps as current SBC head coaches... Love the pipeline.
App State folks,

Whatever happened to Jerry's son Chris? I was able to find he resigned his position (prior to the 2012 season I think) but what happened to him after? Does he still coach? Just curious. Thanks.

And a better fact, ASU has three former head coaches as head coaches of P5 schools. Two of them in the SEC. 05-stirthepot

3 former football grads for us, not just a head coach who stayed long enough for a
cup of coffee.

Yea this is what I meant. Proud alumni moment. They may never move forward but it's still nice to see alumni getting head coaching gigs.

Chris hasn't coached since Cobb fired him in December 2011 for canoodling with a student trainer, among many other things. Cobb told Jerry to fire him, Jerry refused, Cobb did it himself, Chris then complained to dad.

The coaching profession is better for Chris being out of it.
