Three of Old Dominion’s four selections came on special teams. Placekicker Brad Davis (9-of-10 in field goal attempts), punter Bailey Cate and punt returner Darrell Brown represent the Monarchs, along with offensive lineman Devin Hannan.

The rest of the individual awards will be released on Wednesday, Dec 7th.
Ricks is 1st Team.

Butler, Pascal, Ximenes, Coward, and Addison are 2nd team.

Lawry HM? Ridiculous.

Yeah, he wasn't healthy for 1/2 the season. So his numbers weren't what they could have been.

Lawry got ripped off, best RB in the conference
I'd take Lawry over any of the guys, but Aaron Jones is a stud. And, Mathers from Middle had over 1,600 yards rushing. And, it was because of injury, but Smith and Wales had more yards rushing than Ray, too.

Just a lot of great RBs in C-USA, and he is still an underclassman. This will probably give Ray some extra motivation for next year!
Surprised Cox didnt get on the HM list. Thought Ray should have been 2nd team at least.
CUSA voters still don't like us

One 1st teamer with a 9-3 record, 7-1 in conference tied for first in the East...
I don't mean to "knock" Ricks, but I'm surprised by the amount of attention he gets.

Lawry is probably the 2nd best back in the conference, but was hurt for much of the year and tough to justify keeping out Wales/Mathers/Smith.

Think Pascal, Butler, Coward, Ximines, Addision all were solid 2nd team picks.

Seems really fair.
I think Coward got the shaft. I realize i didn't see every team in CUSA play this year but i watched every one of our games. No DT from a team that we faced faced came close to imposing their will as much as he did and that was while getting double teamed on nearly every play. Even for our purposes the D-line play wasn't the same when he wasn't on the field. I guarantee that every coach that we faced spent a fair amount of time in there game prep figuring out how to handle him.
I haven't looked at the stats of the cb's on the first team but they would've had to had all American type seasons to keep him off the first team.

Lawry is an upperclassman.

Charlotte's DT is going to the NFL. He's a great player and gave ODU fits. DW barely escaped several sacks from him in our game.

Lawry is an upperclassman.

This is the definition I was using: "A student in high school or college who is not a senior. ‘one of the talented underclassmen leaving campus life early for the NFL’."

Louisiana Tech senior QB Ryan Higgins is the recipient of the Conference USA Most Valuable Player Award, marking the eighth time in the last nine seasons that a quarterback has been named C-USA MVP.

Offense POY - Carlos Henderson, WR, LT
Special Teams POY - Carlos Henderson, WR, LT
Defense POY - Trey Hendrickson, DE, FAU

La Tech had 7 1st team All-CUSA players, including the MVP, Offensive POY, and Special Teams POY, and still only had the 3rd best conference record? Wow.
