Anyone know where things stand with this? I know it's a wish list item.
The way Pearl & Johnson have AU and UA trending, we're going to need to move this project up the priority list to stay competitive in recruiting.
When UAB FB moves into its new Operations Building next year, will that vacate any athletic facility that could be updated to serve as such a new BB Practice Facility? Unlike in FB where UAB needed almost everything, what exactly does it need in BB?

Well....a new practice facility would be at the top of the list.
No doubt. I've heard a nice renovation of Wallace Gym would run $7M-$9M. Seems like something we should be able to get done, but probably tough to do in the near term after fundraising $22.5M for the football facility.
A practice facility is something we need nowadays for recruiting though. Bartow itself is a great facility IMO. Only thing I'd improve would be upgrading the concourse and putting up back-lit Bartow Arena signage on the exterior of the building. Adding suites and doing the glass atrium entrance would be nice, but not necessities.

Things I would like to see (some more expensive than others):
- Improved exterior signage
- Improved awards display/creation of a history of UAB basketball exhibit
- Box suites
- Improved exterior promenade/main concourse
- Practice facility

A Green and Gold Room that looks more palatial than the current 27 year old one. Something with windows and a view.
