Herb D. was CMU's coach and AD for years...Just wonder which side of the fence he's straddling???

You'd think Deromedi would be a big advocate for a MAC team. On the other hand, it's hard to forget a certain traitor, I mean coach, who voted NIU out of the BCS Top-16 in 2012. I'm looking' at you Pete Lembo!

Interesting about Lembo.

Actually, kind of similar to why Herb D. may not be any friend to WMU.

When CMU was petitioning to join the MAC conference in the 1970's, officials at WMU tried to block CMU from moving up to the top division at the time in NCAA football. I've been told that Herb hasn't forgotten that slight by WMU back then. So maybe it isn't such a stretch to think he might not be doing much to help WMU.

Don't forget Hocutt is a former MAC AD (Ohio) as well. ...
I think all of these guys are more concerned about who is generously buttering their bread now than who used to skimp on buttering it years ago.
He is 100% against WMU and the MAC. He's a CMU guy through and through. He cares more about his hate for WMU than he does with helping the MAC. I bet he's more of a detriment than a help.
CMU (and every MAC team) gets a significant payout if WMU gets in.

Most definitely. If WMU wins in a decisive fashion, like 3 TDs+, that could be enough to take the decision away from the committee. I just don't know how they could even spin it. I just know if it is a close game and Navy beats Houston, Navy will be chosen. This committee does not want a MAC team in a big bowl game, not just this year, any year. I swear though, if Houston jumped WMU, Id never ever ever ever tune into a college football game ever again.
*You mean Temple.

But yeah, if Navy wins Handily + Thumps Army like they should, while WMU is in a dogfight for much of the game with Ohio... I can see them choosing Navy IF they Do Not Want WMU in.

But personally, I can't see how the Committee would actually choose Navy unless WMU looked *piss* poor the Whole game, and Navy lit it up on Temple like a Xmas tree, and used Army as just a highlight reel or something to put them over the edge.

I wish they had Weights on each ranking so we'd know ACTUALLY how close WMU & Navy were. Because, if WMU was & is Solidly above Navy, the same rankings would have occurred on Tuesday.

Holy geesus that is like the 3rd time this week I have put Houston in Temple's spot. Yes that is correct, if Temple jumps WMU I am soooo done

You are making a huge mistake in thinking the committee is impartial and looking at performance. They want VERY VERY badly to put someone not named WMU in that spot. If there is even a very tiny crack in the door, they will use that.
Committee announced BS back up plan for either WMU or Navy (the one not going into Cotton Bowl) to play HOD against N Texas, a team with a losing record. Even PJ Fleck would have to be a miracle man to get his team up to play in that game? What a travesty.

I don't think it's a slight towards the Broncos as much as it's a desire to have a "name" team like Navy (Boise, Houston, etc.) play in the big boy bowl. This year Western is a bigger headline with all the love for Fleck than a team like Temple.
