Could things be turning around? This is a good looking poster.

Not only that but that is a very good schedule. If we can win four of those games I'll be impressed...

Or perhaps the Barrys and others didn't want to donate their millions to bolster Engineering. I think ODU will take major donations to support multiple educational missions, as most other institutions do.

I think this post was supposed to respond to the one saying that engineering programs should get funding over arts programs. The Barry's gave gigantic donations to the Arts at ODU.

For a long time ODU was known as the second best engineering school in the state. I still believe that is true and we need to push engineering and science on incoming kids. There is nothing worse than giving out useless degrees. Tech has plenty of different degrees but they are known for engineering. We should get back to that model.

ODU has been doing a major push to get kids interested in STEM.
A large number of staff in the college of engineering are doing outreach programs with local schools, the YMCA, girl scouts etc.... I am one of a growing number of students that also volunteer at local schools and push STEM.

Glad to hear that, thanks GhentFan
Yea, my bad again on capturing the wrong quotes. I'm failing mightily trying to use my phone to do this stuff.
I sent an e-mail to the school about trying to get some notes on the marketing / branding presentation from last week. I missed it due to meetings with professors.

I was passed to http://odu.edu/directory/people/v/vforest , when I asked about a copy of the power point, or simply some notes her reply:

"Sorry to hear that you were unable to attend the presentations. Unfortunately, there are no copies of the presentation that can be distributed at this time."

Going to try another angle in a few days.
Time. Lots of time. Reading comments on Facebook from their season tix image. Odu student posted "woo my fave hokies!" We have an entire generation of kids that grew up post Vick and no odu football.

Posted from mobile device. Hopefully it's coherent.
Now this is funny, you can literally see where they blocked out the graffiti text and dumped some other crappy text in.

Maybe we can get our points across through this message board.

The only explanation is that the players on the team are responsible for the promotion of the event.
Btw, the Barry’s are not just giving tons of money to build that museum building, they are also donating there world class art collection to fill the building. ODU is lucky to have them doing this. Far from this “art crap” talk .

If we're going to do it to the bad, we should probably highlight the good looking marketing images coming out of the AD;

I like that, now lets see consistency with images and branding. You are not going to build a brand by constantly changing every logo, image, font, text etc. Its all about consistency

Much better. A sustainable look. Current but not going to become outdated to fast.

Solid recruiting poster

Solid recruiting poster

I like most of it, but I think sticking the 19 in RE19N is a stretch. The 1's fine, but when everything else is caps, having a lower-case g in there is counterintuitive.

I also think the YOU'RE NEXT part is kerned too loosely and is also a bit off-center. (It also got me thinking of Goldberg, but YMMV)

That said, the concept and the rest of the execution is solid.
The football camp stuff is much better. Nice work. The recruiting poster is pretty good. I agree with the comment about the typography for "you're next" though, but hey baby steps are good.

Fixed it.

Ya, I like the direction but the line is stale.

Old Dominion University -- where innovation reigns.
Monarchs Innovate.
ODU -- We are innovators.

shrug. The Place for _____ is very 90s sounding to me.
