Anyone seen Auburn play much this year? How good is this team?

I'll have a preview in the AM. Almost a totally different team than last year's.
Shoot a ton of threes.................oh joy.

That was my first thought as well. Hopefully, if they don't hit a high percentage at home, they'll do the same or worse on the road. Unfortunately, the 3 point shot was the dagger that got us down there last year in the end. AND, we do have a tendency to help teams shoot their way out of a slump.

The encouraging statistic is how many rebounds USC Upstate got on them.
They beat USC Upsate by single digits at home, and didn't really blow the other cupcakes away, either. I'm not sure how good Texas Tech is, but they beat them by two. They got destroyed at Purdue. I think those results say this a winnable game. They are a young team, and hopefully we can rattle them early.
They are young, but they have talent. Hopefully we'll get a good home court advantage (rocking crowd without too many Auburn fans) and we can use our experience to get the win. I don't know that there's that much difference in the talent between the teams. They're relatively undersized so we should have a big advantage down low.

I agree. They might have us on raw talent, but we have a size, experience, and home court advantage. If we're a good team, we should win this game.
Let's be honest here. We are talking about a team who at best finishes 9th in the sec.

Well last year they finished 13th in the SEC and beat us.

I hope the team has morerespectfor them.

More honesty for you: we lost to Furman at home by double digits.
They had a really good PG last season who tore us apart. (the same player didn't make it through the season at Auburn)

Different season, different team for both teams.

I know I was there. If we can't beat auburn at home it's going to be a long year.

That was Kareem Canty. He was quite good.

This is Pearl's third season at Au and they will start knocking off teams this year...keep in mind they took down #14 Kentucky LAST YEAR
Cokley had a monster game against Auburn last year: 25 points on 12-19 shooting, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks in only 22 minutes played.

Lee's stats: 2 points on 1-8 shooting, 3 rebound, 3 assist, 3 block, 2 assist in 25 minutes played.

Mehinti: 4 points on 2-2 shooting, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal in 24 minutes played.

That was a terribly frustrating game to watch. We played like **** almost the entire game and then came back late. I thought Robert Brown's 3 sealed the win for us and then Spencer maybe? hit the 3 to win the game. Then of course we had that terrible final possession. Dirk barely played that game, right?

Lang made the last 3

And Dirk played about 10 minutes

Canty (Transferred from Marshall) put 20 on us.

The free throw disparity based on the amount of shots we took was a pretty huge abnormality as well. Foul calls were pretty much dead even but we only attempted like 11 FTs. They attempted 31...even though we shot more from the paint. Was a weird game
Yep.. that was a frustrating game.. really did look like we were the better team, we just played like crap for the big majority of the game.

Man, the Furman game!

Furman lost to Presbyterian before beating UAB. Presbyterian has lost four of five since then.

Furman has gone on to lose to Georgia, UNC Asheville, and Winthrop. These are all decent teams, and Furman was competitive, but losses nonetheless.

Nine minutes left in the UAB-Furman game, the score was tied at 62. Furman went on an 11-0 run over the next two minutes, hitting three 3's. That was the ball game.
