Sure seemed like the stars had aligned for UT football in 2015...
That season is gonna sting for a while.
Too many close calls over the years but...

That is definitely the undefeated season that got away.
Yes, the schedule was tee'd up in our favor and we botched it. The defense was the x factor last year and as usual hamstrung us this year.

Hopefully that wasn't a once-in-a-lifetime shot for UT (and we fans, many of us aren't getting any younger waiting for these moments)...
Yeah, what will come first, a championship in football, or M/F Basketball?

I couldn't agree more... That is why watchin WM's run is so difficult. They didn't let the pressure get to them and took care of business after there Hot start. I think UTs win at Arkansas was a much bigger win than either of WMU P5 wins this year. Having both NIU and WMU at home and not to not play well is still very disappointing. I would say those 2 loses rank in the Top 5 losses in UT Histoy. Friday's game is in top 5 as well. UT may never again be in the position they were in last year.

I think the Lady Rockets have the best shot--maybe a couple seasons away, maybe even next season if Beacham is healthy. Not saying they win the regular season championship, which doesn't matter much, but I could see them getting on a roll in the MAC tournament.

Gonna take a couple more recruiting classes for Candle to fix our D; still have young talents on offense, so if the D gets the talent maybe 2019 can be a target for at least a division champion in football and a trip to the MACC game.

Need to see how the younger guys develop this season for TK before I get a good read on that programs status...I'm a bit concerned that he has already settled early into an 8-man rotation where 4 of the top 8 in minutes are seniors who won't be here next season...hoping to see Adway and Antunez get more meaningful minutes before we start MAC play.
