Full Version: Good bball start for Rockets and the MAC

After the first week of the season, the Rocket women are ranked 11th in RPI, and the men are 15th. For women's basketball, the MAC is currently ranked as the 6th best conference. The MAC is currently ranked 3rd in men's basketball.

Yes, I know that this means nothing at this point in the season, but if I waited until it meant something it wouldn't be true any more, so I'm posting it now.

http://www.rpiratings.com/womrate.php Sagarin/CBN ratings considered more accurate by some stat geeks. Unqualified to evaluate, myself. Toledo WBB, MAC WBB, and, of course, MAC WConf. more consistent, reality-oriented RPI/SOS ratings beginning to emerge.

Interesting to compare ratings of Buffalo, OU, and Toledo on different updated RealTimeRPI v Sagarin. Both seem to project most MAC regular season home ct games as wins for stronger teams.
